XG Announces New Song ‘Winter Without You’: Release Details Inside

The Kpop group XG is set to release its new song “Winter Without You” soon. Before diving into the details, it’s worth noting that XG is the only Japanese band ranked in Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Songs of 2023, showcasing their growing global influence.

XG, short for “Xtraordinary Girls,” consists of seven members: Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Juria, Cocona, Maya, and Harvey. Formed by Xgalx, the group made its debut last year with the digital single β€œTippy Toes.” They quickly established themselves as a force in the Kpop industry.

In September, XG released their debut extended play “New DNA,” which topped Japan’s Billboard Hot Album chart and Oricon Weekly Digital Album chart. Their discography includes notable hits like “Mascara,” “Shooting Star,” “TGIF,” “New Dance,” and “Puppet Show.”

XG’s next song, “Winter Without You,” is set for release on December 8, 2023. The announcement came from their agency, Xgalx, raising fans’ expectations following the success of “New DNA.”

The teaser for “Winter Without You,” released on November 26, 2023, features the seven members aboard a spaceship, traversing galaxies and eagerly awaiting messages from loved ones on Earth. The teaser showcases the members singing the soulful line, “This ain’t winter without you.”

The winter-themed single aligns perfectly with the season’s arrival, and fans are eagerly anticipating its release. Alongside this, XG hinted at their first-ever world tour, likely to take place in 2024, promising to share more detailed information soon.

Why the Excitement?

XG recently made history by surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify with their single “Shooting Star.” This achievement solidifies their rising status in the Kpop industry.

Despite being together for only a couple of years, the members of XG share a strong, sister-like bond. In an interview, Jurin described their relationship as an “umbilical cord,” signifying their close-knit connection. This unity is essential for their success as a group.

Unique among their peers, XG members are Japanese but sing in both English and Korean, broadening their appeal and distinguishing them in the competitive Kpop scene.

Anticipation for ‘Winter Without You’

XG’s upcoming single “Winter Without You” promises a cosmic journey filled with musical adventure. As the release date approaches, fans’ excitement continues to build. How eager are you for XG’s new release?
