Actor Lee Sun Gyun, celebrated for his performance in the acclaimed film “Parasite,” has passed away under distressing circumstances. The actor, who had been the subject of a police investigation regarding suspected drug use since October, was found unconscious in his vehicle near Waryong Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, around 10:30 AM today.

Despite consistently denying the allegations, Lee remained under scrutiny by authorities. Just a day prior to his untimely death, he had requested a polygraph test during his third police summons on the 26th, expressing hope for a fair resolution amidst what he described as blackmailing attempts.
