Helsingborg Gears Up to Host Prestigious Para-European Table Tennis Championship In 2025

The championship highlights Swedish Table Tennis Association's dedication to growing the sport globally, including future events.

It was reported that the Para-European Table Tennis Championship will be hosted by Helsingborg, a Swedish city, in September 2025.

After the 2019 Para-European Championship success, the Swedish Table Tennis Association and Helsingborg City joyfully announced their collaboration for the forthcoming event.

The event is said to be scheduled at the Helsingborg Arena, the championship is set to draw around 300 players from across Europe.

In the previous championship, the Swedish national team secured an impressive total of 10 medals, marking their remarkable achievements.

Daniel Ellermann, Sports Director of the Swedish Table Tennis Association, expresses confidence for another outstanding performance, recalling the delightful experience of hosting the championship in 2019 and eagerly awaiting the return to Helsingborg in 2025.

Helsingborg has long been a bastion of table tennis support, with the local club BTK Rekord playing a crucial role in hosting various championships.

Henrik Gidlund, Head of Helsingborg Convention & Event Bureau, extends gratitude for the chance to host the esteemed event once more, recognizing the collaborative efforts with the Swedish Table Tennis Association and the backing of partners like Visit Skåne.

The championship signifies the commitment of the Swedish Table Tennis Association to nurture the sport’s development and expansion.

Including upcoming events such as the highly anticipated ITTF World Youth Championships in 2024, the association is steadfast in broadening the sport’s influence and reach.

As preparations unfold, Helsingborg eagerly awaits the gathering of Europe’s finest para-table tennis players.

The event pledges to be an exhilarating and unforgettable display of skill and sportsmanship, further solidifying Helsingborg’s standing as a center for table tennis excellence in Sweden.
