On March 1, 2024, BTS member Kim Taehyung, known as V, was announced as the brand ambassador for SimInvest, a stock and mutual fund investment platform, alongside renowned action star Jackie Chan.
SimInvest, a subsidiary of Sinarmas Sekuritas under Indonesia’s Sinar Mas conglomerate, chose V for its significant influence among young people. Sinarmas Sekuritas President Commissioner Ferita Lie highlighted V’s role in the rapid growth of SimInvest over the past two years. The addition of Jackie Chan aims to appeal to a broader audience, bridging generational gaps.
In an official statement to Antara News, Ferita Lie emphasized the complementary nature of V and Jackie Chan’s collaboration, emphasizing their shared message of friendship transcending barriers of age, culture, and interests.
The commercial film released by SimInvest featuring V and Jackie Chan portrays a narrative of camaraderie and exchange. It showcases V’s luxurious lifestyle and moments where he shares dance moves with Jackie Chan, who reciprocates by teaching him kung-fu techniques.
Saules Moon, marketing manager at Gush Cloud Korea, described the project as a labour-intensive endeavour, celebrating the collaboration between V and Jackie Chan as an honour for all involved in its realization.
Following the release of the commercial, V shared a behind-the-scenes clip on Instagram, revealing his affable demeanour and ability to forge connections effortlessly, evident in his interactions with Jackie Chan.

This marks V’s second year as the face of SimInvest since his appointment on March 1, 2023. His tenure has not only bolstered SimInvest’s local and global presence but also enhanced its visibility through various campaigns and events, including a fan meeting in June last year.
Looking ahead, SimInvest plans to roll out more initiatives featuring V and Jackie Chan in the coming weeks, promising further updates and engagements to come.
