Jake Paul recently responded to news about Mike Tyson’s health scare, suggesting that their upcoming Netflix fight is still on.

In a message on X, Paul, who is 27 years old, wrote, “You love to make shit up before knowing the facts for clicks / likes. Nothing changed #PaulTyson.”

This message indicates that Paul and Tyson, who is 57 years old, are still planning to have their fight in July, despite concerns about Tyson’s health.

Reports emerged on Monday that Tyson had a medical emergency while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Paramedics reportedly attended to him after the plane landed at Los Angeles International Airport.

An eyewitness shared, “Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor — the message even came on everyone’s screens.”

However, Tyson’s team told Us Weekly that he is “doing great” after the incident.

According to Tyson’s representative, he felt nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before the flight landed. He expressed gratitude to the medical staff who helped him.

Tyson and Paul are scheduled to fight on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix, and both fighters discussed it at a press conference earlier this month.

Paul stated, “Mike wanted this to be a pro fight. He wants the war. I respect him for stepping up and trying to put an end to me.”

In response, Tyson complimented Paul but emphasized the seriousness of the fight, saying, “I really like Jake a lot. But once he’s in the ring he has to fight like his life depends on it — because it will.”

The fight will be regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR), and there will be a declared winner. It will consist of eight two-minute rounds, with both fighters wearing 14-ounce gloves and no headgear.
