On Friday night, former President Donald Trump’s plane made an unexpected landing in Billings, Montana, due to a mechanical issue, as confirmed by the U.S. Secret Service. The agency clarified that the problem did not involve any security concerns.
There was some ambiguity regarding whether the plane’s intended destination was Billings or Bozeman, where Trump has planned appearances at a dinner fundraiser and a rally. The Trump campaign did not immediately comment on the situation following the landing.
Trump’s deputy communications director, Margo Martin, shared a video on the social media platform X, featuring Trump speaking from his plane. In the video, Trump expressed admiration for Montana’s scenic beauty as observed from the air.
Interestingly, Trump did not mention the mechanical issue in his remarks. Instead, he took the opportunity to criticize Vice President Kamala Harris, focusing on his political rivalry rather than the incident with the plane.
