NewJeans Clarifies Taiwan MV Filming Controversy Amid Backlash

ADOR, the management agency of NewJeans, has issued a formal statement addressing recent controversies surrounding the group’s MV filming in Taiwan. On March 1st, ADOR clarified that all filming activities were conducted with official permission from Taiwanese authorities, including approvals from the city hall and local police.

Allegations of misconduct and disturbance during filming were refuted by ADOR.

The statement rebutted claims of misconduct, asserting that there were no incidents of staff misbehaviour or disruption to residents during the shoot. ADOR emphasized that any interactions with individuals near the filming site were handled with courtesy, despite misinformation circulated by Taiwanese media outlet ‘ETtoday’ and on the anonymous community site PTT.

Despite facing criticism from Taiwanese netizens due to the false allegations, NewJeans remains steadfast in preparing for their upcoming album release, titled “How Sweet,” set for May 24th. The group is dedicated to delivering new music to their fans and continuing their artistic pursuits amidst the recent challenges
