Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

The Post Media is committed to the highest standards of journalistic integrity and excellence. This Editorial Policy serves as the foundational framework for our global newsroom operations in New York and Mumbai, ensuring that every piece of content we publish is accurate, independent, and socially responsible.

1. Editorial Independence

The Post Media maintains absolute editorial independence. Our newsroom operates entirely separate from our commercial, advertising, and ownership interests. No external entity—be it a government body, a corporate sponsor, or a private investor—has the right to influence, edit, or veto our reporting. Our primary obligation is to the truth and to our readers.

2. Standards of Accuracy & Verification

We do not prioritize speed over accuracy. Our verification process is rigorous:

  • Multi-Source Verification: We strive to confirm all sensitive information with at least two independent sources.
  • Primary Documentation: Our journalists are encouraged to rely on original documents, official records, and first-hand accounts.
  • Fact-Checking: Every analytical piece and investigative report undergoes a formal fact-checking process before publication.

3. Sourcing & Confidentiality

Transparency is our default. We identify our sources by name and title whenever possible to provide maximum context to our readers. However, we recognize that in some cases, anonymity is necessary to protect a source from professional or physical harm. In such instances, the use of anonymous sources must be approved by a Senior Editor, and the source’s reliability must be established beyond doubt.

4. Fairness & Right of Reply

The Post Media believes in fair play. When our reporting involves allegations against an individual or an organization, we make every reasonable effort to reach out for comment before publication. We provide a fair window of time for a response and include that response—or the fact that a response was declined—within the story.

5. Conflict of Interest

Our journalists and contributors must remain free of associations that could compromise their professional judgment. We do not allow:

  • Acceptance of high-value gifts or travel from sources or subjects of coverage.
  • Reporting on companies or entities in which the journalist has a direct financial interest.
  • Active participation in political campaigns that could create a perception of bias.

6. Integrity of Visual Media

Images and videos published by The Post Media must accurately represent reality. We prohibit the use of photo manipulation that alters the factual content of an image. If AI-generated imagery or staged photography is used for illustrative purposes, it will be clearly labeled as such to ensure our audience is never misled.

7. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

While we leverage modern technology to enhance our research capabilities, all editorial content published by The Post Media is written, edited, and verified by human journalists. We do not publish raw AI-generated text as news reporting. Any use of AI in our data processing is overseen by our editorial board to ensure it meets our standards of accuracy and ethics.

Editorial Oversight

The Editorial Board of The Post Media regularly reviews these policies to ensure they remain relevant in an evolving media landscape. If you have questions regarding our editorial standards, please contact our Managing Editor.
