On Monday, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi inaugurated to lay 30 projects worth Rs. 614 crore in Varanasi. Keeping in mind, the social distancing regime Modi inaugurated via video conferencing at 10:30 a.m. Tourism, infrastructure, and agriculture will be the prominent sectors under which developmental projects were based. However, on Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Leader informed the media regarding this big-budget project. According to sources, the Varanasi projects will cost around Rs. 614 crore.
Additionally, through a press conference, Kashi region BJP leader Mahesh Chandra Srivastava confirmed that Modi inaugurated 16 schemes holding a worth of Rs. 216 Crore. With a target of laying the foundations of 14 projects which were holding the worth of Rs. 394 crore, Modi has waved a new form of advancement. Being alarmed by the widespread pandemic, Modi hosted the ceremony through video-conferencing. Most likely, four ministers attended the ceremony under different time jurisdictions while showing their support to the Prime Minister. Also, BJP unit Chief Swatantra Dev Singh graced the occasion as well.
Varanasi and its Development Centers:-
Mr. Srivastava alleged that Varanasi city has been witnessing developmental modifications in the past year. However, a huge transformation will be seen between pre-2014 and 2020. Celebrating the happiness of the upcoming development, Varanasi seems delighted with the changes. Being the MP of the city, PM Modi has always provided his extended helping hand to the city, he added. Also, the cleanliness drive in the city became a real success as the rivers and roads were cleaned. For Monday’s program, six cities have been selected for the upcoming program.
The general public and a handful number of party workers will also be present in the ceremonial practice. PM Modi will be laying a stone on Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Dashashwamedh Ghat, Circuit House, Trade Facilitation Centre, road repairments, and Shultankeshwar Temple. Kashi region in-charge stated that the chief minister Mr. Singh, Incharge of Varanasi Ashutosh Tandon, region’s party president Mahesh Chand Srivastava and other ministers were present at the ceremony.
Additionally, UP BJP co-in-charge Sunil Ojha and MLA Saurabh Srivastava remained as active participants during the ceremony. At Dashashwamedh Ghat, the Tourism and religious affairs department, including minister Neelkanth Tiwari and Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar, were also present.
MLAs Avadhesh Singh and Surendra Singh will be attending the ceremony at an airport through video conferencing. In difficult times like these, communication over large distances could only be possible through the advancement of technology and has proved to be bliss.
Other PM Modi Projects:-
Apart from the Varanasi project, PM Narender Modi will be inaugurating Lal Bhadur Shashtri Hospital. Further, he will be introducing an upgrade in the conservation and protection of cows, granaries, and multiplex seed storehouses.
Adding to the list, Integrated Power Development Scheme, certain sound shows, sewage systems, and Sarnath lights will be developing. At last, PM Modi said, “The development projects will not only help people of Varanasi but will be a big help for the people around the country.” Therefore, a Congress leader strongly voiced against the projects as he stated it would violate the moral code of conduct of the nation. Even other Congress delegation requested Deepak Agarwal to stop this event altogether.
