SAD SONG is SiM’s rock anthem for coming era. Its fluid mid-tempo structure and the meaningful messages found within the melody and lyrics are key features to note. The music video tells the story of a relationship between two young women in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and the band’s emotional performance on the beach leaves a huge impression.

The live performance video of “The Rumbling” from SiM’s own festival “DEAD POP FESTiVAL 2023 – 解 (Kai) -” held on June 24 and 25 – has also been released. The song was originally released in 2022 as “Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2,” Opening Song, and is currently a worldwide hit with more than 400 million views on streaming and YouTube.

The new album PLAYDEAD will contain a total of 13 songs including popular anime tie-in songs such as THE RUMBLING (Attack on Titan), UNDER THE TREE (Attack on Titan), and RED (Kengan Ashura) that are all gaining momentum globally, as well as a collection of powerful songs that epitomize the essence of SiM and striking, new direction. RED, the opening song for the season 2 of the anime, “KENGAN ASHURA,” which has captured fans across the world. The adrenaline-fueled DO THE DANCE which combines ska and heavy danceable riffs, and HiDE and SEEK featuring an impressive horn section, have also been released in advance of the album and have already amassed a great deal of attention.

SiM is scheduled to start a 27-city tour in the U.S. has kicked off at the Markee Theatre, in Tempe, Arizona on August 24th. Immediately after their return to Japan in October, they will embark upon an album tour that will take them to 36 cities across Japan.
