1. Jodha Akbar (2008)

Jodhaa Akbar is an Indian historical romance film that is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It includes stars like Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the leading roles, along with Sonu Sood. The film mainly focuses on the romance between the Mughal Emperor Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar (Hrithik), and the Rajput Princess Jodhaa Bai (Aishwarya) who later becomes his wife to save her father’s province. The film was released on 15 February 2008.

Jodhaa Bai was the daughter of Raja Bharmal of Amer. When Akbar planned an attack on Amer, Raja Bharmal made a peace offering. In this peace offering, he proposed the Mughal emperor to marry his daughter in order to strengthen the relations and also to avoid war. Akbar accepts this offer because it will bring forward a strong alliance and a long-lasting peace between the two. Before their marriage, Jodhaa demands to keep her Hindu religion and also a temple to be built next to her room.

Akbar accepts all her demands. Later they were attracted to each other and faced many situations that came in front of them. Akbar reveals that Hindustan will be a land of peace. Jodhaa and Akbar made a mark in history by overcoming all the hardships through their unconditional love for each other.

2.Outlaw King(2018)

Outlaw King is a historical action drama film. The story is about Robert the Bruce who was the 14th-century Scottish king who started a war against the larger English army. The film took place during the historical period from 1304 when Bruce rebels against the rule of Edward I who ruled over Scotland.

Hence becoming an outlaw, up to 1307 at the time of the Battle of Loudoun Hill. Outlaw King was directed by David Mackenzie. 3.  Partition 1947/Viceroy’s House (2017)

It is a British-Indian historical drama film that is directed by Gurinder Chadha The film includes stars like Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, and many others. It was released on 1 September 2017. The movie shows the arrival of Lord Mountbatten at Viceroy’s House in Delhi in 1947 along with his wife Edwina and daughter Pamela. He is in charge of the British Raj and also for the set-up of an independent Indian nation.

He is given only a few months to cut out a separate state from the existing territory. The servants of the Viceroy’s House were forced to choose whether they will be staying in India or going to Pakistan.
