Call Me By Your Name Release Date on Netflix Announced

Call Me By Your Name is a coming of age romantic drama movie of 2017.
It is based on a novel named Call Me By Your Name written by André Aciman. The movie was a masterpiece and holds a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Also, Netflix bought the copyright of the movie, and the film will be releasing soon on Netflix.

The novel’s plot revolves around the life of a boy who shares a special bond with his father’s friend. The novel narrates the blossoming romantic relationship between a brilliant and curious 17 years old Italian-American Jewish boy named Elio Perlman.

Elio is visited by a 24-year-old American Jewish scholar named Oliver. The story is about a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between Elio and his summer guest.
However, Elio was Unaware of the consequences of his attraction towards his guest. Initially, he thought it’s a feigns that every teenager experiences for a person of the same-sex. However, during the hot summer weeks that followed, their uncompromising suppressed obsession, including fascination, desire added to their passion as they witnessed the charged bond they shared.

The bond that grows from the roots of their spirits is the love of hardly six weeks duration. That leads them to an experience that signifies eternal happiness. The total intimacy they both witnessed on the Riviera and during a pleasant evening in Rome is pure delight. Both of them are so afraid that they may never truly find this bliss again in their life span.

Call Me By Your Name is the projection of naked reality. Andre Aciman has always been a controversial writer as the novel was published in 2007.

In 2015 the LGBT community got their rights in The United States of America. A lot of people criticized Andre’s work; Whereas he always said that you could stop the rebel, but you can never stop the rebellion.

He said in this book launch that he is neither gay nor bisexual. However, he still stands with them in their right to enjoy their rights.

The movie takes us back to Italy in the 1980s. The film talks about the blooming romance between a seventeen-year-old student and the older man hired as his father’s research assistant named Oliver.

The trailer signifies Elio is interested in Oliver the moment he saw him as he made a statement, “He seems confident.” Elio gives up his room without even fighting about it so that Oliver can have a comfortable stay. Whereas Oliver never seemed to be into Elio. Somehow both of them end up confessing about their to each other. The film is very famous for its dialogue “Call Me By Your Name And I Call You By Mine.” Moreover, The movie ended on a very emotional note.

Timothee Chalamet played the role of Elio with Armie Hammar as Oliver.

The movie won four Oscars under the category of Best adapted screenplay, including Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Best Motion Picture of the Year; The song from the Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens won Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures.

The director of the movie Luca Guadagnino said in his speech, issues of the LGBTQ community deserve to be addressed. He said the community had struggled a lot. Now it’s time that we society give them the attention and respect they deserve.

The movie is expected to release on Netflix by 24th January 2021.
