Parasite made history at the Oscars 2020 as the first South Korean movie. It was the first foreign-language film to win the best picture. Still, the tragicomic story about a working-class people who infiltrates the lives of a rich clan isn’t quite over yet; Even before taking home the triumvirate of the best picture, best director, and best initial screenplay.

Parasite Series 2021- Find Out The Plot And The Release Date

The Parasite is ready for TV conversion that is produced by HBO and directed by Bong, and the Succession administrator producer is  Adam McKay. Who knows a thing or two about scheming families. With the film’s Oscar sweep sparking increased activity. 

The plot of the Parasite movie 2019 revolves around The Kim family lives in a small semi-basement of an apartment. They have low-paying irregular jobs as pizza box folders and struggles to earn a living. Ki-taek, the eldest member of the Kim family, meets a University student Min-hyuk, a Ki-woo’s friend, who gives the family a scholar’s rock which means the promise of wealth.

Min would be leaving to study abroad, so as a replacement, he suggests that Ki-woo, a university student, should take over his job as an English teacher for the wealthy Park family’s daughter. Da-hye. Ki-woo pretends to be a University student and is hired by the Parks.

The Bluff

The Kim family recommends one another as independent and highly qualified workers to take over as Parks’s servants. Ki-Jung pretends as “Jessica,” and, using Ki-Woo as a recommendation, she becomes an art therapist to the junks’ young son, Da-song. Ki-jung falsely accuses Park’s driver of having sex in the car. Then recommends Ki-taek to replace him. Finally, Chung-sook takes over as the Parks’ caretaker. And after the Kims employ the peach hypersensitivity of the long-time housekeeper, Moon-Hwang, to convince Mrs Park that it is tuberculosis.

When the Parks leave on a camping trip, the Kims revel in the richness of Their home before Moon-gwang arrives at the door, telling Chung-sook she has left something in the basement. She enters a secret entrance to an underground bunker built by the architect and previous homeowner, where Moon-gwang’s husband, Geun-sae, has been quietly living for over four years, hiding from their debt seekers.

Chung-sook declines Moon-gwang’s pleas to help Geun-sae remain in the bunker, but the eavesdropping Kims suddenly reveal themselves. Moon-gwang films them and looms to send the video to the Parks. A relentless rainstorm brings the Parks home early, and the Kims grapple to clean up the home and moderate Moon-gwang and Geun-sae before they return.

The confusion

The Kims trap Geun-sae and Moon-gwang in the bunker. Mrs. Park talks to Chung-sook that Da-song had a traumatic experience on a previous birthday when he saw something supernatural who was actually Geun-sae arising from the basement. However, the Kims manage to creep out of the house before hearing Mr. Park’s off-handed comments about how Ki-taek smells bad. They find their home inundated with sewer water and are forced to shelter in a garden with other displaced people.

The next day, Mrs. Park thorws a house party for Da-song’s birthday with the Kim family’s help. Ki-woo infiltrates the bunker with the scholar’s rock to face Geun-sae. Finding Moon-gwang has died from a shock she received during the earlier fight. He is attacked by Geun-sae, who smashes his skull with the rock and runs away, leaving Ki-woo behind lying in a pool of blood in the basement.

Seeking to retaliate Moon-gwang, Geun-sae stabs Ki-jung with a kitchen knife in front of the shocked party guests. Da-song experiences another seizure upon seeing Geun-sae, and a strain breaks out continuously Chung-sook fatally impales Geun-sae with a grill skewer.
While Ki-taek tends to a seriously bleeding Ki-jung, Mr. Park commands Ki-taek to start the car for him so he can rush Da-song to the hospital.

In confusion, Ki-taek, upon noticing Mr. Park’s outraged reaction to Geun-sae’s smell, takes the knife and kills him. Ki-taek then escapes the scene, leaving behind the rest of the Kim family.

The result

Weeks later, Ki-woo is recuperating from brain surgery. He and Chung-sook are condemned for fraud and put on punishment. Ki-jung has fallen into his demise and Ki-taek, wanted by the police for Mr. Park’s murder. Geun-sae has been considered a homeless man, and neither his nor Ki-taek’s motives for the stabbings are known. Ki-woo spies on the Parks’ home, now traded to a German family unaware of its history, and sees a Morse code message from a flickering light.

Ki-taek, who vanished into the bunker via the garage, has buried Moon-gwang in the backyard and now invades the refrigerator at night and flashes the light every day, hoping Ki-woo will see it. Still living in their original bunker apartment with his mother, Ki-woo writes a letter to Ki-taek, promising to earn enough money to one day purchase the house and rejoin his father.

The plot of the series will follow the same plot as the movie; Also, the cast of the series is not yet confirmed but Cho Yeo-Jeong and Park So-dam are expected to the part of the upcoming series. However, the series is expected to release by Winter 2021.
