Who is Ramit Sethi?
He is a financial advisor. He was born on June 30, 1982 (age 40). Ramit Singh Sethi is an American author who helps people learn about personal finance through his books and appearances. Sethi is the author of a number of best-selling books, including the 2009 New York Times Best Seller; I will teach you how to be rich.
Career and Personal Life:
Ramit Sethi grew up in a middle-class family in California. His journey to finances literally began when he devised a plan to apply to more than 60 scholarships so he could attend undergrad and grad school at Stanford University, according to his website.
But instead of putting the money towards his Stanford tuition, he invested his first scholarship check in the stock market and lost half the money. The loss encouraged him to learn more about how money worked while studying technology and psychology.
In 2009, Sethi published I Will Teach You To Be Rich, and it has been a huge hit ever since. Today, he also runs a website of the same name. He also founded PBworks, a commercial, informational website. Today, Sethi’s financial coaching programs have helped thousands of people start their own businesses.
One major pillar of his program is focusing on what he calls Big Wins. Those are things that would have a huge impact on your personal finances as opposed to, let’s say, saving a few bucks here and there. Those are, for example, negotiating salary raise, getting a passive side income, or starting investing early.
Ramit is married to the love of his life, Cassandra Campa. Cassandra is a fashion buyer who works for Equinox Fitness. It is not clear when Ramit and Cassandra met, but they got engaged in 2017. The duo exchanged their wedding vows in 2018 in the presence of their friends and family members.
He took it to social media to thank them for honoring his invitation. After the wedding ceremony, the duo went on a six weeks honeymoon. They traveled across four countries and three continents. The couple does not have any kids yet.
