Yoo Jae Suk, South Korea’s beloved national MC, has made a significant investment in Gangnam real estate. According to reports, Yoo Jae Suk purchased a piece of land valued at approximately $8 million USD (11.6 billion won) in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul.
The land acquisition, completed in November 2023, raises speculation about Yoo Jae Suk’s future plans. Located near the Construction Association Hall, which currently houses his agency Antenna Entertainment, the plot of land is particularly interesting.
Intriguingly, Yoo Jae Suk reportedly paid for the entire 90.3 pyeong (approximately 298 square meters) property in cash. Classified as a Type 1 general residential area, the land itself is considered prime real estate, with a price tag of approximately $98,762 USD (128.39 million won) per pyeong.

Yoo Jae Suk is popularly known for the Korean variety show “Running Man.”
The land’s proximity to Antenna Entertainment’s current building, the International Art School, entertainment companies, and startups makes it highly desirable for office space. Real estate experts believe Yoo Jae Suk might be planning to build on the newly acquired land.
The previous owner purchased the land in March 2022 for $6 million USD (9 billion won) and sold it to Yoo Jae Suk in December 2023 for a profit estimated at around $769,000 USD (1 billion won). This significant increase in value highlights the prime location and potential of the property.

Yoo Jae Suk proves himself yet again as a successful man of industry.
While Yoo Jae Suk’s official plans for the land remain undisclosed, this substantial investment undoubtedly indicates a strategic move for his future endeavours. We’ll be watching closely to see what unfolds on this exciting plot of land!
