Bella Ramsey and Ariana DeBose had a nice moment at the 2024 Emmys on Monday.

The two hugged after Ramsey, who is 19 years old, made a joke at the Critics Choice Awards about DeBose’s singing.

At the Critics Choice Awards the night before, Ramsey and Anthony Ramos presented the award for Best Song. While reading from the screen, Ramsey joked that DeBose, along with Jack Black and Ryan Gosling, were “actors who also think they are singers.”

DeBose, who is 32 years old, was in the audience at the Critics Choice Awards and didn’t seem to like the joke. She looked surprised and a little uncomfortable before nervously laughing.

Afterwards, she posted on her Instagram stories that she didn’t find the joke funny.

DeBose’s song “This Wish” from the Disney movie “Wish” was up for an award at the Critics Choice Awards, but Gosling’s song “I’m Just Ken” from “Barbie” won instead.

But at the Emmys, Ramsey and DeBose seemed to have made up, and they hugged in the audience.

People on social media thought the moment was cute and sweet.

Hannah Waddingham, who stars in “Ted Lasso,” also seemed to comfort DeBose on the Emmys red carpet.

Fans on social media defended DeBose and her talent, saying it was disrespectful to suggest she wasn’t a good singer.
