SHINee’s Taemin to Depart SM Entertainment After 16 Years

On March 5 KST, reports surfaced revealing that Taemin, a longstanding member of SHINee, is set to part ways with SM Entertainment, his agency of 16 years, by the end of this month.

Debuting with SHINee in 2008, Taemin has remained under SM Entertainment’s management through multiple contract renewals. As he prepares to conclude his exclusive contract, Taemin is preparing to enter a new phase of his singing career under a different agency.

Taemin is to conclude an exclusive contract with SM Entertainment by the end of March.

However, SHINee is anticipated to continue its collaborative efforts with SM Entertainment for group-related activities.

Taemin’s journey in K-pop has been illustrious, marked by iconic hits like “Replay”, “Ring Ding Dong”, and “Lucifer” during his time with SHINee. Transitioning to a solo career in 2014, he further solidified his status with mesmerizing tracks such as “Move”, “Want”, and “Guilty”, consistently shocking¬†audiences with his unique charm and musical prowess.
