Emma Stone Celebrates Second Oscar Win with Husband Dave McCary and Daughter Louise

Emma Stone’s husband, Dave McCary, is her biggest fan. The couple celebrated Stone’s second Academy Award for Best Actress at the 2024 Oscars on Sunday night for her role as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things.

At the Governors Ball, the award show’s official afterparty, Stone, 35, smiled for the camera while McCary, 38, planted a kiss on her cheek.

They were also photographed sharing a smooch during the Searchlight Pictures Oscar Party at Dante in Los Angeles and posed together at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Stone, who previously won the Best Actress award for her role in 2016’s La La Land, looked shocked when last year’s Best Actress victor Michelle Yeoh announced her as the winner.

Before emotionally acknowledging her fellow nominees — Annette Bening (Nyad), Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall), and Carey Mulligan (Maestro) — Stone addressed her “broken” dress mishap and admitted her voice was a little gone.

She praised the collaborative effort of the film’s cast and crew, stating, “It’s not about me. It’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts.”

Stone thanked her family, including her husband Dave and their daughter Louise, who will be three in three days.

Quoting Taylor Swift’s “Bigger Than the Whole Sky,” she addressed Louise: “I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”

The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, aired live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
