A New Chapter Begins As Angel Reese Joins Chicago Sky

Angel Reese is now part of the Chicago Sky!

The 21-year-old basketball star, known for her time at LSU, was chosen as the seventh pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft on April 15 in Brooklyn, New York.

During the draft, the league’s commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, gave Reese her No. 24 jersey. Reese posed with Engelbert at the podium, supported by her parents, Angel Webb Reese and Michael Reese, and her brother, Julian Reese.

Reese looked stunning in a black and silver gown with a hood, a deep scoop neckline, and an open back. She will be playing alongside Kamilla Cardoso, who was the third pick in the draft and will also join the Chicago Sky.

Reese announced her decision to enter the draft on April 3 through a post on social media and an interview with Vogue. She expressed gratitude for her time in college and excitement for the future.

In a video tribute to her university years, Reese thanked her family, teachers, coaches, and managers. She credited them for their love and support, saying, “All of this is because of you, thank you for loving me and supporting me in everything I do.”

Reese feels fulfilled leaving college, having achieved her goals of earning a degree, winning a national championship, and gaining a platform she never imagined. She reflected on her college journey as “crazy” and expressed her desire to become one of the greatest basketball players ever.
