Wonder Girls' "Tell Me" Hits 100 Million Streams on Spotify

Seoul, South Korea – June 23, 2024 – The legendary K-pop girl group Wonder Girls has a reason to celebrate! Their smash hit “Tell Me,” released 16 years ago, has officially surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.

“Tell Me” was a national sensation in Korea upon its release in 2008. The song’s catchy melody and retro-inspired choreography became a cultural phenomenon, topping charts and capturing the hearts of fans. Wonder Girls were known for their unique blend of classic sounds and modern pop sensibilities, with simple yet powerful dance moves that became instantly iconic.

While the group disbanded in 2017, the individual members from the “Tell Me” era continue to thrive in the entertainment industry. Sunmi, known for her prolific solo career, is currently promoting her new digital single “Balloon in Love.” Ahn Sohee has successfully transitioned to acting and is promoting her recent film “The Daechi Scandal.”

Yubin remains a fixture on variety shows while also pursuing her solo music career. Sunye, also known as Min Sunye, will be joining forces with fellow K-pop stars SE7EN and U-Kwon (Block B) in the upcoming K-pop dance musical “Moon Night.” Rounding out the group, Yenny, or Park Ye-eun, has been releasing music under the name HA:TFELT, though she is currently on a break from the spotlight.

Sunmi the popular member is currently busy with her solo single release.

This 100 million stream milestone on Spotify is a testament to the enduring legacy of Wonder Girls and their timeless hit, “Tell Me.” It proves that even after all these years, the queens of retro pop continue to reign supreme
