BTS’s RM and V Committed to Duty at Nonsan Training Center

BTS's RM and V to join military.

BTS members RM and V reported for duty on December 11th at the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungnam, South Korea. Following basic training, they will officially begin their service as active-duty soldiers in the army.

V reportedly applied for a special mission unit in the Army Capital Defense Command.

To ensure safety and prevent congestion, Big Hit Music discouraged fans from visiting the enlistment centre. Their discharge date is expected to be June 10th, 2025.

On the eve of enlistment, RM shared his thoughts with fans: “The day has arrived. While emotions filled my head, words seemed to escape me now. The past ten years at BTS have been incredibly fulfilling. As I’ve always said, endings pave the way for new beginnings. I believe something positive awaits us after this chapter.”

BTS’s RM and V will be joining the military together on the same date.

He continued, acknowledging the earlier enlistment of Jin and J-Hope: “It can’t have been easy for Jin and J-Hope to go through this before us. Their courage inspires us greatly. These 18 months, long or short, will be a unique time of growth and inspiration for all of us.”

V also connected with fans, posting a photo of his new haircut with the caption “D-1.” He expressed, “Shaved head and sunglasses – a long-time fantasy of mine! Glad I finally did it.” He celebrated his enlistment with a cake reading “I’ll wait.”

With Jimin and Jungkook scheduled to enlist on December 12th, all seven BTS members will be actively serving their mandatory military duty.
