Han Ji Min Donates 50 Million Won to Help Those in Need This Winter

Actress Han Ji Min is spreading warmth this winter with a generous donation of 50 million won (approximately $40,000 USD) to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.

The funds will be used to support residents of jjokbang villages (semi-basement homes) and elderly people living alone, helping them stay safe and warm during the harsh winter months.

This act of kindness is not uncommon for Han Ji Min, who is a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club, known for its high-value donations. In fact, she donated the same amount at the end of last year to assist with heating costs for elderly individuals living by themselves.

“Han Ji-min decided to provide support, hoping to help the elderly a little as the weather gets colder,” her agency, BH Entertainment, shared in a statement.

Han Ji Min appeared in the K-drama “Behind Your Touch.”

Song Pil-ho, president of Hope Bridge, expressed his gratitude: “In a situation where a harsh cold wave is expected this winter, actor Han Ji Min’s donation will serve as a great example to society, especially when safety and care are needed for the disaster-vulnerable community.”

Han Ji Min’s generosity extends beyond this recent donation. Earlier this month, she contributed 50 million won to the UN’s JTS (Join Together Society) international relief organization. Additionally, in August of last year, she donated 50 million won to a facility for the disabled.

Her commitment to helping others is further demonstrated by her participation in coal briquette volunteering activities in early December, delivering warmth directly to households in need.
