NCT’s Haechan is taking a temporary hiatus from his activities due to health concerns. SM Entertainment announced that Haechan would miss NCT 127’s 3rd concert, ‘NEO CITY: Japan – The Unity’, and on January 9, confirmed his break due to severe tonsillitis.

While in Japan for scheduled activities, Haechan returned to South Korea on January 8 after experiencing flu symptoms and a high fever. A hospital visit revealed a severe case of tonsillitis, and doctors recommended ample rest and stability for his recovery.
Consequently, Haechan will not participate in the ‘Circle Chart Music Awards 2023’ on January 10. NCT Dream will perform as a six-member group, with Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. His future participation in group activities will depend on his recovery progress.
