On January 11, former TO1 member J.You announced his enlistment in the military through an Instagram post. He shared a photo and a heartfelt message to his fans, saying, “Hello, this is J.You. It’s been getting colder these days. Have you been spending your winter warmly? I have something I wanted to tell you in this post. Since the beginning of December of last year, I enlisted in the army to fulfil my duty of national defence.”

He continued, “I’m sure you’re surprised by the sudden news, and I’ll keep this in mind and do my best to be healthy while I complete my service. Thank you, and I always miss you all. I love you.”
Fellow former TO1 members showed their support, with Kyungho commenting, “I’ll come buy you something nice to eat,” and Chan adding, “Take care of your health.”
